When: Wednesday, April 20th, 2016, 7:00pm-10:30pm
Where: Bascula, HaRakevet 72, Tel Aviv.
Slideluck is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to building and strengthening community through food and art. Slideluck has operated multimedia slideshows combined with potluck dinners in over sixty cities around the world. For each event, artists submit up to five minutes worth of images and guests bring along delicious food to share. The evening begins with a couple hours of mingling and dining on home-cooked dishes, and then the lights are dimmed, the crowd is hushed, and a spectacular slideshow commences.
Slideluck is a mash-up of the words slideshow and potluck. The sense of mixing things up is an essential component this event: by bringing together diverse but complimentary foods, people, artwork, ideas, genres, friends, cultures, industries and perspectives – we feel that something unique and magical is born. It is not every day that fashion photographers, politicians, abstract painters, industrial designers, entrepeneurs, teachers, photojournalists, lawyers, DJs, and gallerists gather under one roof to break bread and partake in the communal experience of an old-fashioned slideshow.
